Mystery Messages 003: The Sea and My Beliefs

Reflection of and in quiet times, The Sea and My Beliefs sees Laila return to spacious, slow and restrained modalities with an extended 30 min tape encased in special silver and gold handmade j-cards.

A simple sound study based loosely around the concept of silence and seashell resonance, providing subtle imaginative cues and (as always) using found objects: a metal cylinder, sea shells, coins, sequins, water, cloth, a Dean Martin cover, glockenspiel, breath and vox.

Recorded on a Sony TCM-313 in June 9-10th, 2023.

Limited edition of 29 cassettes, with individual, silver and gold handmade art work.

A variety of very short excerpts are available for preview or purchase.
